CM517 Day 9 and the sun comes out

We had far fewer volunteers digging on Sunday but the weather gradually became better as the day went on and the finds were better too. Here are some photos of the team at work, and as usual click on thumbnail images to see larger versions:

I took some photos of the fifth posthole, which is smaller than the others found to date:


I also took some video of everyone hard at work in the trench, which you can see on the Gallery page. Here too are some images of two of the more attractive finds of the day - a New Forest ware 'bag' beaker type 49.2; and a tiny hollow glass bead, dark green in colour:

We finished the day watching Arthur fly his big radio-controlled glider over the field in the bright sunshine after everyone else had gone home.
