Colemore update

Updated: Aug 21, 2021

David is busy doing his grandfatherly duties so I have been let loose on the blog. This is a very quick round up what happened during the first few days of the dig.

There was much head scratching and debate whilst we attempted to put up the marquee but eventually...

... we managed to get the roof on.

Robin arrived and removed the turf, which was cut and stacked. The trenches were fenced off and digging began.

Mr Pink escaped from the finds tent

Carl baked another delicious cake.

...and then it rained.

and rained,

and rained.

Then the wind got up and destroyed the gazebo that was covering the school activities.

Things were looking better on Friday evening with the red skies promising good weather for Saturday. Here's hoping.
